Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD, deutsch Finite-Differenzen-Methode im Zeitbereich) ist ein mathematisches Verfahren zur direkten Integration zeitabhängiger Differentialgleichungen. Vor allem zur Berechnung der Lösungen der Maxwellschen Gleichungen wird dieses Verfahren erfolgreich eingesetzt. Zuerst wurde das Verfahren von Kane S. Yee 1966 vorgeschlagen.
