Mansfield Town

Field Mill (ugs. The Mill) ist der Name des Fußballstadions des englischen Viertligisten Mansfield Town FC. Seit 1910 trägt dieser seine Heimspiele dort aus. Das Stadion verfügt über 10.000 überdachte Sitzplätze.

Geschichte

Das Stadion wurde 1861 eröffnet. Die erste befestigte Tribüne wurde 1922 errichtet. Sie entstand auf der Seite, wo sich heute die Tribüne West Stand befindet. Alle weiteren Tribünen waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt Erd- und Aschehügel. Die zweite befestigte Tribüne entstand sieben Jahre später an der Bishop Street. Der heutige Name der Tribüne lautet Bishop Street Stand. Die Tribünen North Stand und South Stand wurden 1947 bzw. 1957 ebenfalls als befestigte Tribünen gebaut. Weitere Ausbauten am West Stand wurden von 1966 bis 1971 durchgeführt. In der Zeit zwischen 1999 und 2001 wurden weitere Auf- und Ausbauten vorgenommen. Am 28. Juli 2001 wurde das Station in seiner jetzigen Form fertig gestellt.
