Die Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) ist ein Netzwerk buddhistischer Zentren der Gelug-Tradition des tibetischen Buddhismus. Sie wurde 1975 von Lama Thubten Yeshe (1935-1984) und Thubten Zopa Rinpoche (* 1946) in Kathmandu gegründet.
Zur FPMT gehören ca. 150 buddhistische Zentren, Projekte und Sozialeinrichtungen in 33 Ländern, sowie der Verlag Wisdom Publications [1]. Seit 2006 ist das Hauptzentrum der FPMT in Portland (Oregon).
