GlobalSign ist ein Zertifizierungsdiensteanbieter (TrustCenter) mit Sitz in Belgien. GlobalSign gibt Digitale Zertifikate für Server (SSL Zertifikate), Personen (Klasse 2 und Klasse 3 für fortgeschrittene Signatur) und Programmcode (VBA, Makros) aus.

SSL-Zertifizierungen werden nach dem aktuellem Standard der Extended Validation (EV-SSL-Zertifikat) ausgestellt und stellen eine hohen Standard für die Sicherheit von Internetseiten und deren Anbieter dar.
