1 Giant Leap

1 Giant Leap ist ein Crossover-Projekt des Musikers Jamie Catto (Gründungsmitglied von Faithless) und des Produzenten Duncan Bridgeman aus dem Jahre 2001, um Musik und Bilder aus 20 Ländern vor dem Hintergrund einer zunehmend globalisierten Welt im Genre der Weltmusik zu vereinen. Album und Film erschienen im Herbst 2002.

An dem Projekt wirkten unter anderem Baaba Maal (Musiker aus dem Senegal), Maxi Jazz (Sänger von Faithless), Neneh Cherry, die schottische Sängerin Eddi Reader, Michael Stipe (Sänger von R.E.M.), Robbie Williams und die The Mahotella Queens aus Südafrika mit.

1 Giant Leap ist als DVD mit Stereo und 5.1-Raumklang-Abmischung und auf CD veröffentlicht worden. Auf der DVD befinden sich zudem Statements von Dennis Hopper, Tom Robbins, Anita Roddick und Kurt Vonnegut.

2008 erschien die zweite DVD und CD des Projektes: "What About Me?"
