Das International Rescue Committee (IRC) ist eine internationale Hilfsorganisation für Flüchtlinge und Kriegsopfer. Es verleiht jährlich den Freedom Award.
Das IRC wurde 1933 auf Vorschlag von Albert Einstein gegründet, um Flüchtlingen vor dem Naziregime zu helfen. Heute unterstützt es einerseits Flüchtlinge in den USA im Rahmen des US-amerikanischen Flüchtlingsansiedlungsprogramms, andererseits ist es in Krisengebieten weltweit aktiv. Insgesamt arbeitet das IRC in über 30 Staaten (Stand Sommer 2008[1]).
