Jack C. Taylor (* 1923) ist ein amerikanischer Multimilliardär, der sein Geld mit einer Autovermietung verdiente. In der Forbes Liste der reichsten Menschen der Welt liegt er 2007 auf Rang 37. Das Vermögen seiner Familie wird auf ca. 13,9 Mrd. Dollar geschätzt.

Leben

Nachdem er die Washington University verlassen hatte wurde er im Zweiten Weltkrieg Kampfpilot auf der U.S.S. Enterprise. Nach dem Krieg verkaufte er Autos und wurde Cadillac Vertreter. Er sparte im Schnitt 50% seines Einkommens um ein eigenes Autoleasinggeschäft zu eröffnen. Als er genug Geld gespart hatte gründete er seine Autovermietung Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Er vermietete Autos an Kunden deren Wagen gestohlen oder ruiniert waren. In den 1970ern boomte das Geschäft. Sein Sohn Andrew C. Taylor begann mit seinem Vater zu arbeiten "sobald er Fahren konnte".
