Jalaur (Hindi: जालौर, Jālaur; anglisierend Jalore) ist eine Stadt im indischen Bundesstaat Rajasthan. Sie ist Hauptstadt des gleichnamigen Distrikts und hat etwa 45.000 Einwohner (Zensus 2001).

Geografie

Jalaur liegt im Durchschnitt auf einer Höhe von 178 Metern. Die Stadt befindet sich 121 Kilometer südlich von Jodhpur.

Geschichte

In alten Zeiten war Jalaur/Jalore als Jabalipura bekannt - benannt nach einem Heiligen.
