James Douglas (* vor 1495; † 1553) war ein schottischer Adliger und 3. Earl of Morton.
James Douglas war ein Sohn des John Douglas, 2. Earl of Morton und dessen Gemahlin Janet Crichton. Er folgte seinem Vater als 3. Earl of Morton 1515 und heiratete Katherine Stewart (c.1494–c.1554), eine uneheliche Tochter des schottischen Königs Jakob IV. aus dessen Verbindung mit Marion Boyd.
Da der Earl nur Töchter hatte, ging die Grafschaft Morton 1553 an seinen Schwiegersohn James Douglas of Pittendreich über.
