James Kottak (* 26. Dezember 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky) ist ein US-amerikanischer Musiker und seit 1996 Schlagzeuger der Rockband Scorpions. Bevor er bei den Scorpions einstieg, spielte er unter anderem bei Kingdom Come, MSG, Warrant, Wild Horses und Axxis Schlagzeug, sowie auf einigen Tribute-CDs für Bands wie Led Zeppelin u. a. James Kottak hat auch eine eigene Band namens Kottak, in der seine Ehefrau Athena Kottak Schlagzeug spielt und er unter dem Namen Jimmy Ratchitt Gitarre spielt und auch den Gesang übernimmt. 2006 brachten sie eine Album-CD mit dem Titel Therupy heraus. Im Mai 2010 erschien das Kottak-Album Rock'n Roll Forever.
