Die Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM, Nationaldemokratische Bewegung der Amharen) ist eine politische Partei und ehemalige Befreiungsbewegung in Äthiopien und Teil der dort regierenden Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF).
Die ANDM gründete sich 1980 im Untergrund in der Provinz Gonder unter dem Namen Ethiopian People's Democratic Movement (EPDM, Äthiopische Demokratische Volksbewegung), die (sich bis Ende der 1980er Jahre als marxistisch-leninistisch bezeichnende) Organisation ging aus einem Flügel der Ethiopian Peoples' Revolutionary Party (EPRP) um Addisu Legesse (heute stellvertretender Regierungschef und Minister für Landwirtschaft und ländliche Entwicklung sowie Generalsekretär der ANDM) hervor, welcher die ablehnende Haltung der EPRP gegenüber den bewaffneten Bewegungen in Eritrea und Tigray kritisierte und für ein enges Bündnis mit der Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) eintrat; letzteres trug der EPDM und später der ANDM den Vorwurf ein, lediglich eine Blockpartei der TPLF zu sein. Jedenfalls arbeitete die EPDM seit ihrer Gründung mit der TPLF eng zusammen und entwickelte sich in den 1980er Jahren zur stärksten bewaffneten Oppositionsgruppe gegen das Mengistu-Regime unter der amharischsprachigen Bevölkerungsgruppe in den Provinzen Gonder, Shewa und Welo.
1989 schlossen sich TPLF und EPDM zur EPRDF zusammen, welche seit dem Sturz Mengistus 1991 die Zentralregierung Äthiopiens stellt, 1994 änderte die Partei ihren Namen von EPDM zu ANDM.
