Amravati (Marathi: अमरावती, Amarāvatī; auch Amrawati oder Amraoti) ist eine Stadt im indischen Bundesstaat Maharashtra. Sie ist die Hauptstadt des gleichnamigen Distrikts und hat etwa 550.000 Einwohner (Zensus 2001).

Amravati liegt im Dekkan-Plateau auf 343 Metern ü. NN, etwa 155 Kilometer westlich von Nagpur. Durch die Stadt geht der National Highway 6 (Surat-Kolkata), die Bahnstrecke Mumbai-Haora liegt etwa 10 Kilometer südlich. Amravati hat als wichtigsten Industriezweig die Baumwollverarbeitung. Die Pflanze wird in den nahegelegenen Ebenen der Flüsse Purna und Wardha angebaut.
