Amravati (Marathi: अमरावती, Amrāvatī; auch Amrawati oder Amraoti) ist eine Stadt im indischen Bundesstaat Maharashtra. Sie ist die Hauptstadt des Distrikts Amravati und hat knapp 650.000 Einwohner (Volkszählung 2011).

Amravati liegt im Dekkan-Plateau auf 343 Metern ü. NN, etwa 155 Kilometer westlich von Nagpur. Durch die Stadt geht der National Highway 6 (Surat-Kolkata), die Bahnstrecke Mumbai-Haora liegt etwa 10 Kilometer südlich. Amravati hat als wichtigsten Industriezweig die Baumwollverarbeitung. Die Pflanze wird in den nahegelegenen Ebenen der Flüsse Purna und Wardha angebaut.

Amravati ist Sitz des Bistums Amravati.
