Die Anaconda Copper Mine war eine große Mine in Butte, US-amerikanischen Bundesstaat Montana, in der Kupfer abgebaut wurde.

Geschichte

Bis 1881 war die Mine im Besitz von Michael Hickey, von dem Marcus Daly sie erwarb.

Die Anaconda Mine wurde 1947 geschlossen, nachdem insgesamt 94.900 Tonnen Kupfer gefördert worden waren. Das Gelände wurde von Berkley Bit, einem großen Tagebau, übernommen.

Die Anaconda Copper Mine fand Erwähnung in der Lebensgeschichte von Dagobert Duck (Autor Don Rosa).
