Law of one price

Jevons Gesetz von der Unterschiedslosigkeit der Preise (nach William Stanley Jevons) ist ein Gesetz der Mikroökonomie.

Das Gesetz besagt, dass für ein Gut nur ein (einheitlicher) Preis gelten kann, wenn

  • räumliche,
  • zeitliche,
  • sachliche und
  • persönliche Differenzierungen

entfallen sowie

  • vollkommene Information

herrscht. Diese Bedingungen beschreiben den vollkommenen Markt.

Bei Fehlen von vollkommener Information vermutet man einen temporär unvollkommenen Markt. Trifft eine der anderen Bedingungen nicht zu, heißt der Markt "unvollkommen".
