Der Antarktische Dollar ist eine Serie von Souvenir- oder Sammlerbanknoten, welche am 1. März 1996 vom „The Antarctica Overseas Exchange Office Ltd.“ in Custer im Bundesstaat Washington USA herausgegeben wurde. Es handelt sich nicht um eine Währung im eigentlichen Sinne.

Die Geldscheine wurden für ihren Nennwert in US-Dollar plus Versandkosten angeboten. Die Erlöse aus dem Verkauf der Geldscheine sollen in Forschungsprojekte in der Antarktis fließen. Bis zum 31. Dezember 2001 wurden die Geldscheine zu ihrem vollen Wert vom Herausgeber zurückgenommen. Danach flossen 80% des Wertes der ausgegebenen Noten an die Forschungsprojekte und 20% blieben als Erlös beim Herausgeber.

Die Noten wurden von der British American Banknote Company (heute Quebecor Financial Printing) hergestellt und sind von D. John Hamilton und A.D.J. Carman unterschrieben.

Es wurden Noten von 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 und 100 Dollar ausgegeben.
