Aquiclude

Mit Grundwassernichtleiter, Aquifuge oder Aquiclude werden in der Hydrogeologie die Schichten bezeichnet, die eine Grundwasser leitende Schicht (Aquifer) begrenzen und selbst kaum wasserdurchlässig (z. B. Tone) sind. Dadurch bilden sich Grundwasserstockwerke oder Grundwasserhorizonte. Weitere in diesem Zusammenhang gebrauchte Begriffe sind Grundwasserhemmer und Grundwassergeringleiter. Heutzutage wird eher von Grundwassergeringleitern bzw. Grundwasserstauern gesprochen, da selbst der z.T. äußerst geringe Wassertransport in kaum leitenden Schichten für bestimmte Fragestellungen (Altlasten, Deponien, Endlager von chem. und radioaktiven Stoffen) eine gewisse Relevanz aufweist.
