Der Mount Simmons ist ein 1.590 Meter hoher Berg am nördlichen Ende der Independence Hills im westantarktischen Ellsworthgebirge.^[1]

Der Berg wurde im Jahr 1966 vom Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names nach dem Marine-Flugzeugtechniker Richard S. Simmons benannt, der am 2. Februar 1966 bei einem Flugzeugabsturz mit der Douglas LC-47J „Spirit of McMurdo“^[2] auf dem Ross-Schelfeis starb.^[1]
