Ngā Puhi ist der größte iwi (Volksstamm) der Māori Neuseelands, dem sich nach einer Volkszählung aus dem Jahr 2001 mehr als 100.000 Menschen zugehörig fühlen.

Sein Territorium (Rohe) befindet sich im Northland (Hokianga und Whangarei).

Bekannte Häuptlinge (Chiefs) der Ngā Puhi waren Hongi Hika, der als erster Stammesführer Feuerwaffen eroberte und damit dem Stamm zu einer besonders kriegerischen Reputation verhalf sowie sein Neffe Hone Heke, der mit seinen mehrfachen erfolgreichen Angriffen auf den Flagstaff Hill bei Russell in die neuseeländische Geschichte einging.
