Das von Nokia in den angebotenen Firewalls eingesetzte Betriebssystem IPSO ist ein Berkeley-Unix-Abkömmling. Es ist jedoch möglich, dieses System ohne Kenntnisse eines Unix-artigen Betriebssystems zu administrieren, dafür sorgt die Web-Oberfläche "Voyager".
