OGLE-TR-132 b ist ein Exoplanet, der den Stern OGLE-TR-132 alle 1,69 Tage umkreist. Auf Grund seiner hohen Masse wird angenommen, dass es sich um einen Gasplaneten handelt.

Entdeckung

Anders als die Mehrzahl aller Exoplaneten wurde dieser mit Hilfe der Transitmethode entdeckt. Der Planet wurde von Francois Bouchy et al. im Jahr 2004 entdeckt.

Umlauf und Masse

Der Planet umkreist seinen Stern in einer Entfernung von ca. 0,0306 Astronomischen Einheiten bei einer Exzentrizität von 0 % und hat eine Masse von ca. 378,3 Erdmassen bzw. 1,19 Jupitermassen. Sein Radius beträgt Schätzungen zufolge 81.000 Kilometer.

Klima und Zusammensetzung

Schätzungen zufolge herrscht auf dem Planeten eine Temperatur von 1627°C. Vermutlich besteht der Planet aus einer Atmosphäre aus Siliziumwolken.
