Oxford ist ein kräftiges, farbig gemustertes Baumwollgewebe in Gitterbindung. Es wurde nach der englischen Stadt Oxford benannt.
Als Oxford-Nylon bezeichnet man PA-Gewebe, die nach einem speziellen Verfahren hergestellt werden und deshalb strapazierfähiger sind als normales Nylon. Es ist jedoch in Bezug auf die Abriebfestigkeit Cordura deutlich unterlegen und daher für die Herstellung von z. B. Motorradschutzbekleidung ungeeignet.
