Paul Lereim

Paul Jostein Lereim (* 15. September 1938) ist Professor für Orthopädie an der Universität Oslo.

Paul Lereim stammt aus einer Priesterfamilie. Er studierte Medizin in Innsbruck und Kiel und war danach der letzte Direktor des orthopädische Spezialkrankenhauses Sophies Minde in Oslo. Paul Lereim ist einer der chirurgisch-orthopädischen Pioniere in Norwegen und bekannt für schwierigste Knie- und Hüftgelenksersatz-Operationen.

• Segmental replacement of the femur in baboons with fiber metal implants and autologous bone grafts of different particle size.(1982)^[1][2]
• Relationship between morphologic features and hardness of the subchondral bone of the medial tibial condyle in the normal state and in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. (1975)^[3]
