Peritropè

Eine Peritropè bezeichnet einen Sachverhalt, in der eine Behauptung aufgestellt wird, deren Widerlegung paradoxerweise die Behauptung selbst wieder untermauert.

Ein Beispiel findet man in der Behauptung "Mindestens eine Behauptung ist wahr". Nämlich unter der Annahme, dass das Gegenteil - "alle Behauptungen sind falsch" - richtig ist wird wiederum eine wahre Behauptung (eben dass alle Behauptungen falsch sind) gemacht. Zusammen mit all den anderen falschen Behauptungen ist somit mindestens eine Behauptung wahr.
