Prato-Sornico

Prato-Sornico war von 1864 bis 2004 eine politische Gemeinde des Kantons Tessin in der Schweiz.

Sie entstand aus dem Zusammenschluss von Prato (Vallemaggia) und Sornico und ging 2004 zusammen mit Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio und Peccia in der Grossgemeinde Lavizzara auf.

Der frühere Bundesrat Flavio Cotti (1987-1999 im Amt) war Bürger von Prato-Sornico. Auf dem Gemeindegebiet wirkte im 18. Jahrhundert der römisch-katholische Geistliche und Bibliotheksgründer Giovanni Giulio Gerolamo Berna.
