Protein transduction domain

Unter einer Protein transduction domain (PTD) versteht man eine Proteindomäne, welche berwirkt, dass ein bestimmtes Protein von einer Zelle freiwillig aufgenommen wird. PTDs findet man häufig bei Hormonen und Neurotransmittern, es gibt aber auch künstliche PTD-Domänen wie beispielsweise neunfach-Arginin-Anhänge von rekombinanten Proteinen.
