Recce

Recce (sprich: rekkie) ist eine umgangssprachliche Abkürzung des englischen Wortes reconnaissance; im Deutschen Erkundung bzw. Aufklärung genannt.

Vorkommen

In der Film- und Medienbranche bezeichnet man damit das Auffinden und die Besichtigung einer Örtlichkeit zum Zwecke der Vorbereitung eines Events, bspw. für Filmdrehs oder Fotoaufnahmen (neudt. Fotoshooting), um sie auf ihre infrastrukturellen Begebenheiten (bspw. Licht- und Klangverhältnisse oder Stromversorgung) zu untersuchen.

Der Begriff wurde ursprünglich in der britischen Film- und Medienbranche verwendet – während im Amerikanischen auch der Begriff „Tech Scout“ (Kurzform von technical scouting) existiert – und wird international von Location-Scouts benutzt.

Im militärischen Sprachgebrauch ist ebenfalls die Aufklärung gemeint. Diese Kurzform wird u. a. auch für den so genannten Recce Pod, dt. Aufklärungsbehälter benutzt.

Im Rallyesport ist damit die vor dem Rennen stattfindende Beobachtung der Streckenverhältnisse während des Probelaufs gemeint.
