Die Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railway (MStP&SSM), später SOO Line Railroad, ist eine US-amerikanische Eisenbahngesellschaft, deren Streckennetz hauptsächlich die US-Bundesstaaten Wisconsin, Minnesota und North Dakota sowie den nördlichen Teil von Michigan abdeckte. Durch Zukauf kamen später Strecken südlich von Chicago hinzu.

Die erste Strecke reichte im Jahr 1888 von Michigan nach North Dakota. Die Gesellschaft erwarb 1909 die Wisconsin Central. 1961 fusionierte die MStP&SSM mit den Tochtergesellschaften Wisconsin Central Railroad und Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railroad. In diesem Zusammenhang wurde der Firmenname in Soo Line Railroad geändert.

1982 kaufte die Soo Line die Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern. Die Milwaukee Road wurde 1985 gekauft. Danach wurde das gesamte Streckennetz optimiert. Die meisten früheren Strecken der Soo Line wurden an eine neu gegründete Wisconsin Central Ltd. verkauft und der eigene Betrieb wird nun über die Strecken der früheren "Milwaukee Road" abgewickelt. Die Soo wurde wiederum 1990 von der Canadian Pacific aufgekauft. Die Gesellschaft ist als 100%-Tochter für die US-Aktivitäten zuständig.

Der Name "SOO" leitet sich von der Aussprache des Stadtnamens Sault Ste. Marie ab.
