Die Silver Legion of America war eine auch unter dem Namen Silver Shirts bekannte antisemitische Gruppierung in Minneapolis (USA) in den 1930er Jahren. Sie verübten gezielte Anschläge auf Juden und Angehörige ethnischer Minderheiten.

Entstehung

Die Silver Shirts wurden von William Dudley Pelley gegründet.

Ziele

Die Truppen aus Italien und Deutschland hätten, so Pelley, diese beiden Länder vor dem Kommunismus gerettet. Der Kommunismus wurde nach Pelleys Auffassung von Juden unterstützt. Eine solche „Rettung“ wollte er mit den Silver Shirts auch den USA erbringen.
