Soft Drink

Als Softdrink wird ein alkoholfreies Getränk oder eine Mischung aus alkoholfreien Getränken bezeichnet. Dieser Begriff scheint in letzter Zeit den in der deutschen Sprache gebräuchlichen Begriff Limonade zu verdrängen.

Nach deutschem Lebensmittelrecht gelten Getränke unter 0,5 % vol. Alkohol als alkoholfrei, da beispielsweise auch Fruchtsäfte und Fruchtsaftgetränke geringe Mengen Alkohol enthalten können. Nicht zu verwechseln sind Softdrinks mit Longdrinks, einem alkoholhaltigen Cocktail.
