Solar (Akronym für Simple Object Library and Application Repository) ist ein quelloffenes Web-Framework für PHP5 und PEAR. Solar ist angelehnt an Ruby on Rails und folgt wie dieses dem Model View Controller (MVC) Schema.
Das Projekt wurde ursprünglich von Paul M. Jones entwickelt. Mittlerweile wurde auch Komponenten von anderen Entwicklern beigesteuert. Solar ist unter der BSD-Lizenz lizenziert.
