Die Streamline-Moderne ist ein später Zweig des Art-Déco-Stils und umfasst die Bereiche Architektur und Design (v. a. Autos, Busse, Lokomotiven). Der Stil betonte kurvige stromlinienartige Formen, eine lange horizontale Linienführung sowie manchmal nautische Elemente wie Relinge oder Bullaugenfenster. Der Stil hatte seinen Höhepunkt im Jahr 1937. Einer der bedeutendsten Pioniere des auch nur kurz als Streamlining bezeichneten Stils war Raymond Loewy. Weitere Vertreter des Stils im Bereich des Designs waren Norman Bel Geddes, Henry Dreyfuss und Walter Dorwin Teague.
