Submission Hold

Im Kampfsport werden Techniken als Aufgabegriffe bezeichnet, wenn diese dazu dienen, den Gegner durch Druck auf Gelenke, Knochen oder Vitalpunkte sowie Abschnüren der Luftzufuhr zur Aufgabe bzw. zum Abklopfen zu zwingen. Dies geschieht durch Schmerz oder einfach durch die Angst des Gegners vor schweren Verletzungen.

Aspekt der Selbstverteidigung

In der Selbstverteidigung werden Aufgabegriffe dazu benutzt, um den Angreifer möglichst schnell kampfunfähig zu machen, d. h. die Technik bis zum vollen Einsatz der Wirkung durchzuziehen (z. B. bis zur Bewusstlosigkeit des Gegners oder zum Knochenbruch).

Aufgabegriffe in verschiedenen Kampfsportarten

Kampfsportarten, in denen viele Aufgabegriffe trainiert werden, sind Aikido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu und Sambo.
