Talking Head

Talking Heads (engl.: „Sprechende Köpfe“) sind ursprünglich eine Erscheinung des Cinéma Vérité (vérité = frz. Wahrheit), einer Unterart des Dokumentarfilms, in der der Kameramann nicht nur stiller Beobachter einer Situation ist (Direct Cinema), sondern sich als Provokateur versteht. Der Film ist somit der Katalysator dafür, dass etwas passiert.

Menschen werden direkt angesprochen/interviewt. Dadurch entstehen die Kameraeinstellungen mit „Talking Heads“, Close-Ups meist von Schultern und Kopf der interviewten Person.
