Der Tarangire-Nationalpark ist einer von vierzehn Nationalparks in Tansania. Er liegt südwestlich von Arusha in der Nähe des Manyara-Sees.

Durch den Park fließt der Tarangire-Fluss, der ständig, auch zur jährlichen Trockenzeit von Juli bis Oktober, Wasser führt. Daher ist der Park insbesondere zur Trockenzeit besonders tierreich, da dann Tiere aus trockeneren Regionen einwandern. Die Landschaft besteht aus Savanne.

Der Park ist 2600 km² groß und liegt auf ca. 900 m Höhe. Die Tsetsefliege kommt hier vor, die die Schlafkrankheit überträgt. Die Wildtiere sind dagegen weitgehend immun.

Für den Besuch des Parks benötigt man eine kostenpflichtige Besuchserlaubnis, die man an den Eingängen bekommt. Die Straßen im Park sind ungepflastert und nur mit Geländewagen gut zu befahren.
