Die Tec-9 ist eine halbautomatische Faustfeuerwaffe. Entworfen wurde sie von Interdynamic AB in Schweden welche ihren Sitz in die USA verlegte und in Intratec umbenannte, um dort ihre Produkte zu vermarkten.

Da die Tec-9 sich durch einfache Modifikationen vollautomatisch abfeuern ließ, wurde sie in den USA (nebst anderen Waffen) verboten. Daraufhin entwarf Intratec ein neues Modell mit der Bezeichnung AB 10, für das offiziell nur 10-schüssige Magazine erworben werden konnten.
