The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy war eine während der frühen 1990er Jahre aktive Rap/Hip-Hop-Gruppe in den Vereinigten Staaten. Gegründet 1990 in San Francisco von den ehemaligen Beatnigs-Mitgliedern Michael Franti und Rono Tse, benannten sie sich nach einem Aufsatz von Jim Wolfrey namens "The Disposable Heroes of Hypocrisy" in einer leicht abgeänderten Form. Die Band hatte starke sozialkritische Töne (zum Beispiel Auseinandersetzung mit der alltäglichen Dominanz des Fernsehens, Rassismus oder Homophobie) in ihren Texten, musikalisch lag sie eher auf einer Wellenlänge mit Bands wie House of Pain oder Pop Will Eat Itself und verwendete Rock- und Jazzelemente. Bald nach der Veröffentlichung von Spare Ass Annie and Other Tales trennten sich Franti und Roe; Franti gründete als neues Projekt daraufhin Spearhead.
