Die Trope oder der Tropus ist

  • in der Rhetorik eine Stilfigur, wobei für einen Ausdruck ein verwandter bildhafter Begriff eingesetzt wird, siehe Tropus (Rhetorik)
  • in der antiken Skepsis ein Argument gegen die Möglichkeit sicheren Wissens, siehe Skeptische Tropen
  • beim Gregorianischen Choral eine melismatische oder textierte Ergänzung oder die Textierung eines Melismas, siehe Tropus (Gregorianik)
  • eine Ordnungsmöglichkeit einer Zwölftonreihe, entwickelt von Joseph Matthias Hauer, siehe Tropenlehre
