Tulenkantajat

Tulenkantajat (dt. Feuerträger) war eine Vereinigung von Künstlern und Schriftstellern, die in den 1920er-Jahren gerade durch ihr politisches Engagement großen Einfluss auf die moderne Kunst und Literatur Finnlands hatte.

Ihren Namen bekam sie einerseits durch die Novellensammlung "Tulenkantajat", welche 1924 von den Schriftstellern Elmer Diktonius, Hagar Olsson und Edith Södergran veröffentlicht wurde, und andererseits durch die Zeitschrift "Tulenkantajat", die ab 1928 von Erkki Vala publiziert wurde.

Ab 1936 gingen mehr oder weniger die Tulenkantajat in der Kiila-ryhmä auf.
