Ein Tumbler (von engl. to tumble - stürzen, taumeln) ist ein kurzes Trinkglas mit einem dicken, sehr stabilen Boden, der ursprünglich rund geformt war, so dass das Glas beim aufrechten Hinstellen umfiel, was ihm im Englischen seinen Namen als wörtlich "(taumelnd) Stürzender" gab.

Diese Gläser existieren in verschiedenen Größen. Aus kleinen, auch als Old-fashioned Glass bezeichneten Tumblern wird beispielsweise Whisky getrunken. Single-Malt-Whisky wird alternativ auch aus so genannten Nosing Gläsern getrunken.

Ein großer Tumbler wird auch als Highballglas bezeichnet und vor allem zum Ausschank von Longdrinks benutzt. Tumbler sind vielseitig einsetzbar und eignen sich durch ihren großen Durchmesser gut zum Ausschank von Getränken „on the rocks“, also mit Eis.

Tumbler werden oft in großen Stückzahlen mit den Firmenlogos bekannter Spirituosenmarken produziert und zu Werbezwecken als Freiware an Betreiber von Discotheken, Bars oder an andere gastronomische Einrichtungen geliefert. Tumbler dienen somit auch als vergleichsweise kostengünstiger Werbeträger am Verkaufsort.

Darüber hinaus werden z. B. in Kanada auch einfache, aus Kunststoff gefertigte ½-Liter-Becher am Verkaufsort als Tumbler bezeichnet.
