UNI global union ist ein internationaler Gewerkschaftsdachverband. Er ist am 1. Januar 2000 aus der Fusion zwischen dem FIET (Internationaler Verband der Angestellten, Techniker und Führungskräfte), der MEI (Media Entertainment International), der IC (Internationale Kommunikation) und dem IGF (Internationaler Grafik-Verband) entstanden. Weltweit sind 900 Gewerkschaften Partner von der UNI global union. Sie bringt über 20 Millionen Arbeiter zusammen.
Am 2. März 2009 hat die UNI global union ihr neues Logo eingeführt. An diesem Tag hat sie ebenfalls ihr Name von Union Network International zu UNI global union gewechselt.
Organisation
Das Hauptquartier der UNI global union ist am Genfersee in Nyon in der Schweiz. Sein aktueller Generalsekretär ist Philip Jennings. Die Organisation ist in Regionen und Berufsbereiche aufgeteilt.
