VUD Award

Verbandslogo

Der Verband der Unterhaltungssoftware Deutschland (kurz VUD), wurde 1993 gegründet. Nach über zehn Jahren wurde die Auflösung des Verbandes auf einer Mitgliederkonferenz am 13. Dezember 2004 beschlossen. Seitdem läuft ein Auflösungsverfahren. Die Quasi-Nachfolge traten der Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware und der Bundesverband der Entwickler von Computerspielen (G.A.M.E.) an.

VUD Award

Öffentlich in Erscheinung getreten ist der VUD vor allem durch die Vergabe des VUD-Awards, der ein Spiel für besonders hohe Verkaufszahlen auszeichnet. Es wurden Awards in drei Stufen verliehen.

	der Gold-Award für mindestens 100.000 verkaufte Exemplare
	der Platin-Award für mindestens 200.000 verkaufte Exemplare
	der Spezial-Award für mindestens 500.000 verkaufte Exemplare
