Der Waimea River ist ein nur etwa 6 km langer Fluss im Norden der Südinsel Neuseelands. Er entsteht durch den Zusammenfluss des Wairoa River und des Wai-iti River etwa 3 km nördlich von Brightwater. Er mündet nordwestlich von Richmond gegenüber Rabbit Island in die Tasman Bay.
