XMail ist ein freier POP3/ESMTP Internet/Intranet-E-Mail-Server für Unix, Linux und Microsoft-Windows-Betriebssysteme.

Er ist ein schlanker, schneller und robuster E-Mail-Server. Mehrere Filter-Schnittstellen machen XMail zu einem sehr flexiblen Werkzeug. Filter können in jeder beliebigen Programmiersprache implementiert werden, die Kommandozeilenargumente verarbeiten und Fehlercodes zurückgeben kann. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine Schnittstelle um nahezu alle Serverfunktionen fernwarten zu können.
