Zig-Zag

Zig-Zag (engl. Zick-Zack) bezeichnet eine klassische, von Bühnenmagiern vorgeführte Illusion.

Eine Person betritt einen Kasten, der aus drei Teilen besteht. Die Türen werden geschlossen. Zwischen die drei Teile werden Klingen geschoben. Dann wird der mittlere Teil zur Seite geschoben. Aus dem zur Seite geschobenen Mittelteil winkt eine Hand, aus dem unteren Teil schaut ein Fuß heraus. Nachdem das Mittelteil wieder zurückgeschoben und die Klingen entfernt wurden, entsteigt die Person wieder unversehrt dem Kasten. Die Illusion ist umringt und bei normaler Beleuchtung durchführbar. Zig Zag Illusion gehört zur Gruppe der spektakulären Groß- oder Bühnenillusionen und ist - aufgrund der auf Mechanik und Optik basierenden Tricktechnik - auch von Anfängern durchzuführen. Während der Trend in der Zauberei verstärkt zu kleineren Illusionen (für Street-Magic und Close-Up) geht, gibt es nur wenige Illusionsmanufakturen, die eine Zig Zag Illusion herstellen und anbieten.

Die Zig-Zag-Illusion wurde 1953 von Robert Harbin erfunden.
