Blind Date war eine sechsköpfige Pop-Band, die 1984 in Frankfurt am Main gegründet wurde. Die Band bestand aus folgenden Mitgliedern: Christian Felke (Saxophon, kam aus der Begleitband von Rainhard Fendrich), Peter Koch (Schlagzeug), Lothar Krell (Keyboards, beide von der Band Supermax), Uwe Schlürmann (Gitarre), Amy und Elaine (Töchter eines amerikanischen Offiziers).

Der Name der Band geht auf den Umstand zurück, dass sich ihre Mitglieder eher zufällig getroffen haben. Die Debüt-Single "Your Heart Keeps Burning" wird 1985 in der ganzen Bundesrepublik ein Hit und erreicht Platz 17 in den Singlecharts. Die Nachfolgesingle "Hit the Road Jack" floppt, woraufhin die Band auseinanderbricht. 1992 erscheint nochmals ein Remix mit allerdings nur mäßigem Erfolg.

Amy und Elaine Goff wurden Backgroundsängerinnen bei Meat Loaf, Christian Felke Studio-Saxophonist und ist seit 1998 Mitglied der Rockjazzband Scales. Uwe Schlürmann ist seit 1996 Leadsänger der Countryband Tumbleweed.

Das deutsche Danceprojekt Lazard coverte "Your Heart Keeps Burning" im Frühjahr 2007 und konnte sich damit an der Spitze der deutschen Dance-Charts platzieren.
