Bochil ist ein Ort und ein Municipio im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Chiapas und befindet sich im Südosten des Staates. Der Name dieses Ortes kommt aus dem Nahuatl und bedeutet Die Schokoladenschälchen.

Das Municipio hat 22700 Einwohner, ist 372,7 km² groß und liegt 1550 m ü.d.M.. Es grenzt an die Gemeinden Coapilla, Pantepec, Jitotol, El Bosque, Larráinzar, Soyaló und Chicoasén.[1]
