Lage der Region Boké in Guinea

Boké ist eine Region Guineas. Sie liegt im Nordwesten des Landes, angrenzend an Senegal und Guinea-Bissau. Ihre Hauptstadt ist das gleichnamige Boké. Die Region hat etwa 703.000 Einwohner[1] und umfasst die Präfekturen Boffa, Boké, Fria, Gaoual und Koundara. Diese sind jeweils nach ihrer Hauptstadt benannt.

Der Westen der Region Boké mit Boffa, Boké und Fria ist der geografischen Region Niederguinea zuzuordnen, während die nordöstlichen Präfekturen Gaoual und Koundara im Fouta Djallon liegen.
