British Nuclear Fuels plc (kurz BNFL) ist ein staatliches britisches Unternehmen, das Produkte und Dienstleistungen im nuklearen Brennstoffkreislauf anbietet. Das Spektrum umfasst unter anderem
BNFL beschäftigt 23.000 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter in 16 Ländern.
1998 übernahm BNFL die nukleare Sparte Westinghouse Electric Company von der Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Am 6. Februar 2006 unterzeichnete der japanische Konzern Toshiba mit BNFL einen Vertrag, nachdem Toshiba für 5,4 Mrd. US$[1] [2] die BNFL USA Group Inc. and Westinghouse Electric UK Limited und damit die Nuklear-Sparte von BNFL zu 100 Prozent erwirbt. Damit wird Toshiba der weltweit größte Hersteller von Atomkraftwerksanlagen.
