Die Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) ist ein afghanisches Telekommunikationsunternehmen und führend bei der Lieferung drahtloser sowie Breitband-Kommunikationslösungen für Privat- und Geschäftskunden[1]. Das Unternehmen mit Geschäftssitz in Kabul wurde 2001 von Ehsan Bayat gegründet.

Laut eigenen Angaben beschäftigt das Unternehmen 3.000 Mitarbeiter, weitere 20.000 arbeiten indirekt für die Firma. AWCC hat über zwei Millionen Abonnenten, darunter die Azizi Bank und die Kabul Bank, zwei der größten Banken Afghanistans (Stand 2008).

Anfang 2007 wurde Afghan Wireless als beste Netzwerkinitiative für den GSMA-Preis nominiert.[2] Im September 2007 wurde es für den World Communications Award als bester Betreiber in einem sich entwickelnden Markt nominiert[3].

Das Unternehmen engagiert sich für gemeinnützige Projekte.[4]
